The cost has three parts.
1. One-time setup. Choosing a tool, connecting it to the business WhatsApp, writing the instructions and a knowledge base about the business, and testing. This is where I charge from 1,800 ILS.
2. Tool subscription. Most tools are built on a monthly subscription, sometimes with per-chat pricing. The amount depends on the provider and the volume, so I present it up front before installation instead of guessing.
3. Maintenance. Answers go stale: prices change, opening hours, promotions. Ongoing updates and a review of chats the agent could not answer: from 300 ILS a month.
When is it worth it? If you get more than a few dozen WhatsApp inquiries a week, and most are repeating questions (price, hours, availability), the agent saves time. If it is ten inquiries a week, prepared quick replies might be enough.
When not? When the conversations are personal and complex, like detailed medical advice. Here the agent can collect details and hand over, not answer.
