How do you start adopting AI in a small business without developing anything?

In a talk I gave at the "Lashevet" workspace in Shafayim, I spent 45 minutes on a live demo: I took ideas from the audience and turned them into websites. The lesson for a small business is to start with an experiment you can see and test, instead of buying several tools at once.

How do you start adopting AI in a small business without developing anything?

Pick one problem that repeats every week, match it to an existing tool, measure for a month, and only then expand.

Short answer: Pick one problem that repeats every week, match an existing tool to it, measure for a month, and only then expand.

There are five steps.

1. Choose one process. Not "bring AI into the business", but something specific: answering inquiries, scheduling appointments, drafting price quotes, tracking leads.

2. Measure what it looks like today. How long does it take? How many inquiries get lost? Without an opening number you cannot know whether you improved.

3. Look for an existing tool. Almost every common problem already has a ready-made tool. Custom development is rarely needed in a small business.

4. Start small. One user, one case, two weeks. Check answers manually at first.

5. Decide in advance when to stop. If there is no improvement after a month, cancel the subscription. A tool that does not save time is not worth its price.

Common mistake: buying five tools at once. Every tool requires setup and maintenance.

I help businesses go through this process: mapping, tool selection, installation and training. Details: https://israeli-ai-agency.pages.dev/services/automation/.
