A LiveMint writer used ChatGPT to manage all his finances for 30 days. He gave the AI three sets of data:

It then analyzed his spending and found several problems. Food delivery was consuming almost 25% of his income, so it suggested planning meals in advance and limiting deliveries to 2 per week. It also found a duplicate streaming subscription he had forgotten about and suggested moving some savings from his checking account into an index-tracking fund.

After one month, he was saving 18% more than usual, spending less on unnecessary purchases, and felt a completely new sense of control over his money.

It did not change his life. It gave him a personal assistant that could examine his habits without emotion or judgment and ask one simple question: “Are you sure this is what you want to do with your money?”
