QuantumLight replaces venture capital instinct with algorithms

AI is starting to replace investors, and the results are already measurable.
Nik Storonsky, founder of Revolut, which is valued at $45 billion and made more than $1 billion in profit in 2024, is changing how startup investing works. In 2022, he launched QuantumLight, a fund that invests in startups without any human analysis. The decisions are made entirely by algorithms.
Its system scans 10 billion data points across 700,000 companies. No networking, no gut feeling, and no human bias.
So far, QuantumLight has made 17 investments, all identified by the algorithm. Their performance is twice that of the top venture capital firms.
The fund has now raised $250 million. A quarter came from Nik's personal money, with the rest coming from smart investors who already understand where this is going.
In this model, investing is no longer about who you know. It is about what your algorithm can see. The future of investing is already here, and it is far more analytical than connected.
