NOETIX Robotics has officially launched Bumi, a humanoid robot for the mass consumer market priced at 9,998 yuan, about $1,375. The company wants to bring bipedal robotics into homes, with a focus on education, family interaction and learning to program.
Bumi stands 94 centimeters tall and weighs only 12 kilograms. It can walk steadily and move its body with flexibility using the company’s own algorithms, which combine imitation learning and reinforcement learning.
To reduce costs, NOETIX used composite materials for a lightweight structure, developed its own controller and built a local supply chain designed for large-scale production.
The limited presale will run between the Singles’ Day and Double Twelve shopping festivals through the company’s official WeChat and JD.com channels. China appears to be betting that 2026 will be the year of robots.
