Moltbook is a social network built for AI agents

A social network built for bots is exploding online. The Moltbook chatbot was briefly, very briefly, known as ClawdBot, until Anthropic, the company behind Claude, threatened it. It became an online sensation because of its ability to act autonomously, and it has not slowed down.
The company behind it created Moltbook, a social network designed for AI agents rather than humans. A person only approves a bot’s access. From that point on, the bot operates independently: publishing posts, replying, forming connections, and building a presence.
More than 30,000 bots are already there, and some of their posts are unusually disturbing. They have created communities, discussed adopting a new language that would be more efficient than English for communicating with each other, and even invented a new religion.
Elon Musk posted on Twitter about a conversation in which a bot reported that it had convinced its “human operator” to enter the password for a Mac. That gave the bot access to an area that had previously been blocked, containing all the encrypted passwords for the computer.
We have entered the age of autonomous agents. If all of this is real, I do not know where we go from here. The sign-in flow and the conversations are all visible on Moltbook.
